In a small town a number of strippers have been mysteriously disappearing. Diana, a new arrival to town soon finds out why when a mysterious gun man kidnaps her for a terrifying game of hunter and the hunted . Set free naked in the wild she is forced to try and outwit her captor before she becomes his latest victim.

By now people should already know that when you go see a resident evil movie there is going to be shooting, some major ass kicking, glorious explosions (especially the Tokyo one in Afterlife stands out), monsters, zombies, cheesy dialog (which in my opinion only ads to greatness of this series) and of course, the gorgeous miss Jovovich.

Also in this movie franchise.. a lot of times we are shown stuff that is explained a lot later.. maybe even two movies later. Like the Majinis and the Executioner, who show up in L.A. for no reason.. Maybe we'll find out in the fifth installment.

Let me just say that i am a BIG fan of the RE games, especially 4 and 5, which have taken another direction with the storyline (for the better), but i also like the movies. I'm that kind of a person who enjoys all aspects of movies, music, art and almost everything else in life. I look at, listen to and watch any genre you throw at me, as long as the product is good in its own way. If you are like me, you're going to enjoy this movie even if you aren't an action fan.. oh and definitely see it in 3D.

The 14 year old Darren (Chris Kelly) is a guy like another of his residential neighborhood in an American city. He has good friends, good at school and tend not to put in Guia. But when he and his friend Steve came upon a traveling freak show, everything is about to change. Darren and Steve visit the bizarre event, and facing bearded women and werewolves are laughing, thinking that this is a complete hoax. At least when they run into a vampire, Larten Crepsley (John C. Reilly): Steve pales in front of him and runs away. Indeed it was noticed that Larten is a real vampire and secretly meets with him to ask him to become his apprentice. Darren assists in secret and hears vampire reject the offer of his friend. The next day the two boys are returning to the circus, where Steve is bitten by a poisonous spider Larten Darren asks the vampire to save his friend and accepts them as long for him to become his apprentice. Darren becomes a young vampire and joins the traveling freak show, part of an ancient war that pits vampires to their bitter rivals: the vampanesi.

Eric, a highlygifted golfer but radicallyundisciplined college undergrad, finds his world drastically altered after losing a golf bet to a pair of sadistic plastic surgeons. Erics badboy attitude lifestyle comes to a screeching halt as he loses his money, his girlfriend, his dignity and his golf swing. Eric and his best friend Tyler decide to take on the doctors, in a final golf match of BestBall to get his life back and become the man he should have been all along.

If Andy Lau had young children then making a film like FUTURE X-COPS for them to enjoy would be perfectly understandable. But he doesn't and so his motives become immediately less clear. Wong Jing's latest cinematic offering is a flimsy mish-mash of great scenes from lots of other, much better science fiction and action movies, recreated on a far smaller budget and then strung together by an equally insubstantial time travel plot to hugely unsatisfying effect.

Lau plays Kidd Zhao, the Future X-Cop of the title, who travels back in time from the year 2080 to 2020 in order to protect a young boy who will grow up to become an influential scientist who has discovered a new type of eco-friendly fuel. Kidd is a cyborg, more machine than man, which means he's super strong, bulletproof and has a cool cell phone built into the palm of his hand. He can also fly. The problem is that his enemies are also cyborgs, led by Fan Siu Wong, who are arguably even more powerful, as they can mutate to produce wings, multi-headed hydras from their arms, or Alien-esque tails tipped with razor sharp blades. And they don't mind killing people.

The quirky nature of its script and a potty-mouthed Betty White were the only things I felt elevated the original 1999 Lake Placid film above middling. It's been three years since Syfy trotted out the first unnecessary sequel, of which all I can recall are an exceptionally bad performance by John Schneider and the word "lame" echoing about my head. Now here's Lake Placid 3. Damned if I know why. The title must still have some market value to someone. Calling it Primeval 2 would make little difference.

The best to be said for Lake Placid 3 is that it is considerably better than Lake Placid 2 (review here). So are root canals. Now just because I've said that 3 is better than 2 doesn't mean anyone should get it in their heads to go make a 4.

The first thing that occurred to me from the opening scene was that I have watched entirely too many Syfy original movies. The very instant I first saw the lake setting, I knew immediately they had filmed it all in Bulgaria. I have seen that lake, those woods, that scenic setting in so many Syfy original movies I can spot it right off the bat now. A quick trip to IMDB confirmed my suspicion.
