It is a complete remake of Counter-Strike using the Source game engine. As in the original, Counter-Strike: Source pits a team of counter-terrorists against a team of terrorists in a series of rounds. Each round is won either by completing a mission (such as detonating a bomb or rescuing hostages) or by eliminating all members of the opposing team. I couldn't detect any visual differences between DX 9.0 and 8.1 mode but if you think you need to play this in DX90c mode you can edit the autoexec.cfg file in "Counter-Strike Source.app/Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/CSS/cstrike/cfg/" to mat_dxlevel "90c" It works online! Known Issues: When you apply new graphics settings in the menu the screen goes black - just force-quit the app or alt-tab to the desktop and quit the app from there if this should happen.
