I went to this movie in Sneak Preview, otherwise I probably would not have gone to watch it. The thought of watching a two hour thing about a French mafioso (do they even have Mafia in France?) who survives 22 bullets and then goes on a rampage of revenge, just doesn't appeal to me...

I'm going to have to admit that the movie wasn't really that bad though. There were some nice (and also brutal) scenes and Jean Reno was his usual steady self, nothing spectacular, but not bad either... overall the acting wasn't too bad. Not outstanding either, but given the fact that there are a lot of French nobody's in the film, (no disrespect intended!) that was a pleasant surprise.

Cal heads up a private agency contracted by the FBI, local police, law firms, corporations, and private individuals when they hit roadblocks in their searches for the truth. Joining him are a variety of experts in the field of behavioral evaluation: Dr. Gillian Foster is a gifted psychologist and Cal's professional partner, a woman whose guidance Cal needs, whether he knows it or not; Will Loker is Cal's lead researcher, and he's so aware of the human tendency to lie that he's decided to uncomplicate matters and practice what he terms "radical honesty": he says everything on his mind at all times. Ria Torres, the newest member of the team, arrives at the truth differently by acting more on instinct and using her natural, less-studied ability to read body language and catch certain clues that Cal's other pledges may miss.

Shou, Ako and Reiko are three friends who live in a spooky town filled with ghost stories and haunted places, such as the abandoned Kaidan Restaurant. From an encounter with a bullied classmate at school who’s acting strangely like a cat to vacationing in the countryside near a forest where a boy once drowned, the trio often find themselves in the middle of supernatural tales of terror. Whether they’re telling frightful legends or inadvertently interacting with the dead, Shou, Ako and Reiko will experience the scary side of life with curiosity and camaraderie.

Since the TMNT movie isn’t out yet, it’s impossible to gauge exactly how much the game has in common with it. Suffice it to say, it features all the principal characters (though seemingly none of the film’s celebrity voice talent) and touches on some of the same basic themes as the film. The whole game is told through a disjointed form of flashback narration, with the titular Turtles each chiming in at random intervals to explain some chunk of the story in the past tense (usually skipping over details that might actually make the whole thing make sense). The dialogue and voice acting is fine for what it is, but as far as providing a satisfying Turtles tale, you’re out of luck here.

Working at a movie theater as a projectionist, I have the opportunity to watch basically every movie that comes out.

When I first saw the trailer for 'Black Snake Moan' I laughed and thought, "Great. Another 'Snakes on a Plane' Samuel L Jackson movie". But of course, I wanted to see it for the laugh factor. Many people have judged this movie too quickly based on the innuendo in the title, the images on promotional ads and on the fact that Justin Timberlake is in the film. Personally I loved every second of this movie. It tells the story of an older man and young woman who are both going through rough times and are able to reach out to one another. The story is truly touching and sends out a great message about life and how we live. Of course, I do not recommend it for young audiences due to some graphic material, but if you are looking for a great story and genuine acting from Sam Jackson, Christina Ricci and,yes, even Justin Timberlake, I encourage you to see 'Black Snake Moan'.
