Back in the 80's, when hairstyles were wild, music was electronic and video games were sold on Music Cassettes in Europe (yes, it's really true!), Boulder Dash® won our hearts by storm. The creative and frantic gameplay mix required both our reflexes and brains to avoid murderous rock slides of Boulders and get our hands on those precious Diamonds in 20 fun-filled Caves infested by Fireflies, Butterflies and Amoebas.

London, 2000: Terminally ill Albert summons old war buddies Frank and Harry to his hospital bed with a bizarre request. When he dies, he wants them to snatch his corpse from the hospital morgue and drive it, in Harrys taxi, to Germany, where they all met, for burial. Thanks to Franks ingenuity they get the body past Customs but almost lose it in France, recovering it thanks to Vicki, a German hitch hiker that they pick up. Their good deed is in part atonement for allowing a German girl that they knew fifty five years earlier to be killed by Russian soldiers, as they explain to Vicki. They dug her grave too and now bury Albert in close proximity to it. Vicki departs but the two old friends find her presence has been positive for them.

Although this film in my opinion doesn't match up to Guy Ritchies gangster films such as Snatch or Lock, stock and two smoking barrels it is still a well done British gangster film by an almost unknown director.

Compared to the most recently produced British gangster film i last watched (Dead man running) Baseline was a well casted film with a decent storyline, apart from an abrupt ending which left me disappointed as the film seemed to build up towards what i hoped was a action packed ending. Other than this the storyline was fairly well written.
